In this playful yoga class children will learn yoga poses, breathing, and relaxation exercises which cultivate a calm mind, increase strength and flexibility, improve gross and fine motor skills, improve concentration, and help them understand how to identify and manage their feelings. Fun music will be incorporated into this class and each class end will end with a period of relaxation.
I am originally from a small town just outside of Bath, in the south west of a England. In 2011 I moved to London to complete a BA Hons degree in Contemporary Dance from ‘Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance’, specialising in Dance science; specifically the rehabilitation of injuries. I continued to live in London and perform with some of the leading contemporary choreographers until I graduated with 1st Class honours in 2014.
My interest in anatomy and the experience of my own injuries guided me towards Yoga. I soon fell completely in love with this new form of movement and expression and rapidly felt the healing benefits of this practice.
In 2016 I left London to travel the world, 2 years and 22 countries later I found myself in India where I completed my 200 Hour Vinyasa training at ‘Trimurti School of Yoga’. I spent an intense month learning and absorbing everything that the home of Yoga had to offer.
Because of my contemporary dance background you can expect creative flows that challenge balance and build strength as well as giving you space to find that deeper connection of breath to movement.
In 2018 I moved to Edinburgh and have since been humbled by the love and support that feeds through the Yoga community here. I hope that my love and passion for this practice inspires others to unite, with themselves, their breath and each other.’
